...Namaste

Since I've still got some weeks till school is back I have decided to spend my time trying out Yoga. I've done a few classes in college and I have even tried DVDs, so now I wanted to try hot box yoga. I've seen signs for it and a friend mentioned it, so I thought spending $10 for 10 days of yoga was worth it. I have been to 4 classes and am slowly growing to love love love it! Why? I'm glad you asked.

1. Hot box means it is 90 - 98.6 degrees F w/ 50% - 60% Humidity. I love heat and sweating, so its a win-win!
2. It is super intense, but standing on one leg, whilst holding the other leg, bent over, hopping, and eating with chopsticks makes it a great challenge that actually gets the heart-rate up and your muscles working.
3. I love Sunstone Yoga (where I'm taking classes) because it is diverse. There are young, old, newbies, experts, ranges of ethnicities, and everyone is nice. There is no judgment if you can't do a pose.
4. The instructors are excellent!!
5. It is easy to make yoga buddies!!! I have 2 new friends already. :)

ALSO........................................

Today I was in class when 2 tall men came in and set up in the back. They looked familiar, but I shrugged it off. I kept catching them in the mirror and thinking, "maybe I went to college with them." I also thought one of them dated a friend of mine. I couldn't help but look at them b/c I couldn't figure out how I knew them!! It was driving me nuts.

After class I was talking with a new yoga buddy about her experience with the classes she has taken. She gave me some great advice, and as we were leaving she asked me if I noticed Tony Romo and Jason Witten in the class. I clapped my hands with an "ah ha!!" I knew they looked familiar!
These boys may know how to throw a ball, but I think I'm more flexible then them...well at least better than Romo.

....song of intrigue

I was looking up songs on youtube and found this.

It no pretty out there at all
So many rises so many fall
So many standing in the middle of despair
Nobody cares nobody sees it clear

Them blinded by society
And now them cant see the quality
Me see them limited capacity
Verbal verbosity
And them ignorant atrocity
Cant you see its right there

So tell me what a cause so much damn poverty
Tell me why the people them a lose gravity
It caused by a handful of minority
Who try to pull down the majority

Well this is up to you and me
Make we sit down and talk bout long trinity
Sit down and reason conscious levity
Our natural ability
Give thanks for diversity

It no pretty out there at all
So many rises so many fall
So many standing in the middle of despair
Nobody cares nobody sees it clear

It no pretty out there at all
So many rises so many fall
So many standing in the middle of despair
Nobody cares nobody sees it clear

Somebody tell me what is happening out there
Same old story even though it s a new year
People die every day see them cry every day
What a burden to bear, yeah

Me see how you a trick we with your politics of fear
No matter what you do them always try to smear
And you them want blame leave you standing in the rain
And I wonder if you hear

So tell me what a cause so much damn poverty
Tell me why the people them a lose gravity
It caused by a handful of minority
Who a try to pull down the majority

It no pretty out there at all
So many rise so many fall
So many standing in the middle of despair
Nobody cares nobody sees it clear
No way, yeah

It no pretty out there at all
So many rise so many fall
So many standing in the middle of despair
Nobody cares nobody sees it clear, yeah

It no pretty out there at all
So many rise so many fall
So many standing in the middle of despair
Nobody cares nobody sees it clear
No way

...photo albums

Hello hello!! I'm back!

I came back Friday afternoon and I think I've beat the jetlag. Except for the fact that I wake up at 6am. With my early rise I thought I would put up some of my favorite pictures from each country. Enjoy!!

France:
I met a couple girls from London, and the 3 of us ventured out to the Louvre. Me in front of the Louvre, and another of me inside.

I went to Sacre Coeur many times and enjoyed the beautiful weather, and the live entertainment! This guy is from Italy and he tours different countries playing his music. He was actually really good!

I also ran across the amazing antique perfume bottle shop. I went inside and they had new bottles and a ton of kitschy bottles. There were bottles shaped like bow ties, light bulbs, and the fancy kind with the big puff on the end.

Kenya:
I love Mombasa for the gorgeous sight!

This is a tuke-tuke, one of the ways people get around the city if they don't have a car. Another way is a Matatu which is a taxi van that goes around the city.

The best part of being in Mombasa was meeting new friends! Jackie was the only person I knew, but I spent my 2 weeks meeting new people, and here are a couple of them! My last night there the 4 of us went down to the ocean and hung out. It was a fun last night. :)

London:
I spent a lot of time with family which was excellent, but I also spent some time wandering London. One day I went to the Tate Modern Museum and enjoyed some great modern art!

Another day I went to a different part of London and spent the day going to different gardens eating lunch and reading. Between gardens little treasures were uncovered...like BUCKINGHAM PALACE!!

There were many other little treasures, but those were some of the highlights. Thanks for following me on my journey!! I'm already planning my next trip. :)
